Cars

My creative Sis-In-Law made this cake she crumbled oreos in a blender for the road and gram crackers for the sand. It was such a great idea I wanted to share.  I only helped a bit with the fondant. The car on top is a toy (part of her sons b-day gift :)

Noah's Ark

My sister gave me this book "50 Easy Party Cakes..by Debbie Brown" that is where the idea came from for this cake and the baby carriage cake. But I made this cake with MMF and a box cake.

EASY MMF (Marshmallow fondant) RECIPE

Working with fondant is kinda like working with play dough.
I make a marshmallow fondant its takes all of 5 minutes.

Here is where I got this recipe......
http://cakecentral.com/recipes/1949/marshmallow-fondant-mmf (she explains it prob better then I attempt to here...but I'll try anyhow :)

Step 1: You take 2 tbsp. of water and 16 oz. of marshmallows mix in a bowl and microwave them for a minute or so until the marshmallows are melted.

Step 2: Then one cup at a time I add in the 8cups of powdered sugar one cup at a time begin with stirring it in (it will stick to the spoon) then start kneading it in. DO NOT USE ALL 8 CUPS!!! Knead in just enough for the fondant not to be sticky its about 7 1/2 to 7 cups for me usually.

Step 3: That is it your done, roll it into a ball wrap it in plastic wrap and place it in an airtight ziplock bag and let it set for a while, the recipe suggest 8 hours AT ROOM TEMPERATURE!!! It does not need to be put in the fridge :) I let it set for 5 min sometimes :/ then I knead in my colors with my hands greased with crisco so the "paste food coloring" doesn't die my hands.
If you prepare ahead and let it set for 8 hours and when you go to knead in
your colors and your fondant is super hard, then just microwave it for
like 2-5 SECONDS!!!! Not too long at all you must watch it, it will melt quick!!!

Step 4: DECORATE, PLAY, HAVE FUN!!!!
